Vitamin B4 | Adenine

Vitamin B4 which is also known as adenine is a purine base incorporated in the formation of the nucleic acids DNA and RNA. Adenine is a purine (purines are six-membered rings attached to five membered rings) which when attached to DNA forms a bond with Thymine (a pyimidine). These purine/pyrimidine bonds are responsible for giving DNA its characteristic double-helix structure.
